Background:
Mutations in this gene cause the X-linked Kallmann syndrome. The encoded protein is similar in sequence to proteins known to function in neural cell adhesion and axonal migration. In addition, this cell surface protein is N-glycosylated and may have anti-protease activity.
Other Names:
Anosmin-1, Adhesion molecule-like X-linked, Kallmann syndrome protein, KAL1, ADMLX, KAL, KALIG1
Target/Specificity:
This KAL1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 166-194 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human KAL1.
Antigen Region:
166-194
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: ANOS1 (HGNC:6211)
Gene ID: 3730
Primary Accession: P23352
NCBI Accession: NP_000207.2
Other Accession: NP_000207.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
