AC-BP6327a
Background:
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. There are four different isoforms of KLK8, exhibiting distinct patterns of expression that suggest roles in brain plasticity and ovarian cancer.
Other Names:
Kallikrein-8, hK8, Neuropsin, NP, Ovasin, Serine protease 19, Serine protease TADG-14, Tumor-associated differentially expressed gene 14 protein, KLK8, NRPN, PRSS19, TADG14
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6327a was selected from the N-term region of human KLK8. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: KLK8
Gene ID: 11202
Primary Accession: O60259
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
