Background:
Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane proteinand inward-rectifier type potassium channel. The encoded protein, which has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cellrather than out of a cell, is controlled by G-proteins and plays animportant role in regulating heartbeat. It associates with threeother G-protein-activated potassium channels to form aheteromultimeric pore-forming complex.
Other Names:
G protein-activated inward rectifier potassium channel 1, GIRK-1, Inward rectifier K(+) channel Kir31, Potassium channel, inwardly rectifying subfamily J member 3, KCNJ3, GIRK1
Target/Specificity:
This KCNJ3 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 390-418 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human KCNJ3.
Antigen Region:
390-418
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: KCNJ3
Gene ID: 3760
Primary Accession: P48549
NCBI Accession: NP_001247437.1;NP_001247438.1;NP_001247439.1;NP_002230.1
Other Accession: P63251; P63250; E1BNE9; NP_002230.1
Format: Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Euglobin precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
