Background:
NEPH1 is a member of the nephrin-like protein family, which includes NEPH2 (MIM 607761) and NEPH3 (MIM 607762). Thecytoplasmic domains of these proteins interact with the C terminusof podocin (NPHS2; MIM 604766), and the genes are expressed inkidney podocytes, cells involved in ensuring size- andcharge-selective ultrafiltration (Sellin et al., 2003 [PubMed12424224]).
Other Names:
Kin of IRRE-like protein 1, Kin of irregular chiasm-like protein 1, Nephrin-like protein 1, KIRREL, KIRREL1, NEPH1
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 520-534 of HUMAN KIRREL
Gene Name: KIRREL1 (HGNC:15734)
Gene ID: 55243
Primary Accession: Q96J84
Other Accession: Q6X936; Q80W68; NP_060710.3
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
