Background:
Krueppel-like factors (KLFs) comprise a family of evolutionarily conserved zinc finger-containing transcription factors with diverse regulatory functions in cell growth, proliferation, differentiation and embryogenesis. Individual members of the Sp1-like/KLF family can function either as activators or repressors, depending on which promoter they bind and the coregulators with which they interact. KLF6, also designated Zf9 or CPBP (core promoter-binding protein), and KLF3 are Krüppel-like zinc finger containing transcription factors. KLF6 is rapidly induced during hepatic stellate cell activation and transactivates a reporter gene driven by the collagen I promoter, suggesting KLF6 plays a role in the response to tissue injury. KLF3 may play a role in hematopoiesis.
Alternative Name:
Krueppel-like factor 3, Basic krueppel-like factor, CACCC-box-binding protein BKLF, TEF-2, KLF3, BKLF
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500 - 1:2000, IF: 1:50 - 1:100
Specificity: KLF3 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of KLF3 protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human KLF3.
MW: ~ 39kDa
Swis Prot.: P57682
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
