AC-BP13542b
Background:
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversionof L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step ofanaerobic glycolysis. The protein is found predominantly in muscletissue and belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. Mutationsin this gene have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria. Multipletranscript variants encoding different isoforms have been found forthis gene. The human genome contains several non-transcribedpseudogenes of this gene.
Other Names:
L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain, LDH-A, Cell proliferation-inducing gene 19 protein, LDH muscle subunit, LDH-M, Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-59, LDHA
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13542b was selected from the C-term region of LDHA. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: LDHA (HGNC:6535)
Gene ID: 3939
Primary Accession: P00338
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
