Description: Anti-LDL Receptor Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody . Tested in WB, IHC applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse.
Protein Function:
Binds LDL, the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein of plasma, and transports it into cells by endocytosis. In order to be internalized, the receptor-ligand complexes must first cluster into clathrin-coated pits.
Other Names: Low-density lipoprotein receptor, LDL receptor, LDLR
Clone Name(s):
Clone: BFC-12
Subcellular Localization: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Endomembrane system; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Membrane, clathrin-coated pit; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Golgi apparatus. Early endosome. Late endosome. Cell surface. Lysosome. Found distributed from the plasma membrane to intracellular compartments. Localizes to the Golgi apparatus, early and late endosomes/lysosomes and cell surface in the presence of PCSK9.
Gene ID: 3949
Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human LDL Receptor
Calculated MW: 95376
Purification: Affinity-chromatography
Format: Liquid
Contents: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, 0.4-0.5mg/ml BSA.
Concentration (mg/ml): Actual concentration vary by lot. Use suggested dilution ratio to decide dilution procedure.
Storage: Store at -20°C for one year. For short term storage and frequent use, store at 4°C for up to one month. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
