Leibovitz's L-15

Backgroud: Leibovitz's L-15 medium is composed of phosphate and free base amino acids, replacing the traditional sodium bicarbonate buffer system. At the same time, the use of galactose and sodium pyruvate instead of glucose can prevent the formation of acidic metabolic byproducts, help maintain the stability of the pH of the culture medium, and is suitable for cell culture in non-CO2 balanced environments. Leibovitz's L-15 medium is suitable for the culture of monkey kidney cells and HEp-2, the separation of primary cells (such as embryonic and adult tissues), the culture of various viruses, and the culture of neurons.
