Background:
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-bindingproteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrixinteractions. Differential and in situ hybridization studiesindicate that this lectin is specifically expressed inkeratinocytes and found mainly in stratified squamous epithelium. Aduplicate copy of this gene (GeneID:653499) is found adjacent to,but on the opposite strand on chromosome 19.
Other Names:
Galectin-7, Gal-7, HKL-14, PI7, p53-induced gene 1 protein, LGALS7, PIG1
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 69-82 of HUMAN LGALS7
Gene Name: LGALS7
Gene ID: 3963;653499
Primary Accession: P47929
Other Accession: NP_001035972.1;NP_002298.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
