Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Signal Transduction
Description:
Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) has the capacity to induce terminal differentiation in leukemic cells. LIF activities include the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, the induction of neuronal cell differentiation, and the stimulation of acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes. LIF is currently being developed to assist embryo implantation in women who have failed to become pregnant despite assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
Alternate Names: LIF, Leukemia inhibitory factor, Differentiation-stimulating factor, D factor, Melanoma-derived LPL inhibitor, MLPI, Emfilermin, HILDA
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P15018
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human LIF.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 0.1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
