Background:
The product encoded by this gene is preferentiallyexpressed in hematopoietic cells and belongs to the paxillinprotein family. Similar to other members of thisfocal-adhesion-associated adaptor-protein family, it has fourleucine-rich LD-motifs in the N-terminus and four LIM domains inthe C-terminus. It may function in cell type-specific signaling byassociating with PYK2, a member of focal adhesion kinase family. Asa substrate for a tyrosine kinase in lymphoid cells, this proteinmay also function in, and be regulated by, tyrosine kinaseactivity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcriptvariants encoding distinct isoforms.
Other Names:
Leupaxin, LPXN, LDLP
Gene Name: LPXN
Gene ID: 9404
Primary Accession: O60711
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
