Protein Family: Chaperones and Folding Catalysts
Pathway and Disease: Cancers; Folding, Sorting and Degradation; Membrane Transport; Signal Transduction; Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
The lung resistance-related protein (LRP or Major Vault Protein) is required for normal vault structure in which multi-subunits act as scaffolds for protein involved in signal transduction and nucleo-cytoplasmic transport. LRP down-regulates INF-gamma-mediated STAT1 signaling and subsequent activation of JAK. The vault ribonucleoprotein particle is a large (400 A x 670 A) cage structure of 12.9 MDa. LRP is expressed in most normal tissues and is often overexpressed in multidrug-resistant cancer cells.
Alternate Names: LRP/MVP, Lung resistance related protein, Major vault protein, MVP, Lung resistance-related protein, MVP, LRP
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q14764
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human LRP.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
