Protein Family: Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: Hemorphin-7; LVV-hemorphin-7; Hemoglobin subunit beta; beta-globin; hemoglobin beta chain
Accession No.: P68871
Description:
Hemorphin-7 binds to the angiotensin IV receptor (AT4R), triggering multiple effects including cellular proliferation and memory enhancement. VV-hemorphins and LVV-hemorphins preferentially interact with delta and kappa receptors. LVV-hemorphin-7 potentiates the activity of bradykinin, causing a decrease in blood pressure. Hemorphins are endogenous peptides belonging to the family of atypical opioid peptides released from hydrolyzed hemoglobin.
Format:
Each vial contains 1 mg of lyophilized solid packaged under an inert gas and supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt.
MW: 1308.5 g/mol
Sequence:
H-Leu-Val-Val-Tyr-Pro-Trp-Thr-Gln-Arg-Phe-OH or H-LVVYPWTQRF-OH
Composition:
C65H93N15O14
Purity:
> 95% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.
