Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Cell Motility
Description:
Microtubule-associated protein 1B (MAP1) plays a role in the cytoskeletal changes that accompany neurite extension. MAP1 binds to tubulin subunits, and this bridging of subunits might is involved in nucleating microtubule polymerization and in stabilizing microtubules. MAP1 is phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR.
Alternate Names: Microtubule-associated protein 1, MAP-1, neuraxin, MAP1, Microtubule-associated protein 1B, MAP-1B, MAP1 light chain LC1, Map1b
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P15205
Antigen: Rat brain microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs).
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 2% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
