Background:
Mitogen-activated protein kinase 4 is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family. Tyrosine kinase growth factor receptors activate mitogen-activated protein kinases which then translocate into the nucleus where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7298a was selected from the N-term region of human MAPK4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
