Protein Family: Enzymes, Peptidases
Pathway and Disease: Cancers
Description:
Membrane-type serine protease 1 (matriptase) degrades the extracellular matrix. Matriptase is proposed to play a role in breast cancer invasion and metastasis. Matriptase exhibits trypsin-like activity as defined by cleavage of synthetic substrates with Arg or Lys as the P1 site. Defects in matriptase are a cause of ichthyosis autosomal recessive with hypotrichosis (ARIH). ARIH is a skin disorder characterized by congenital ichthyosis associated with the presence of less than the normal amount of hair.
Alternate Names: Supressor of tumorgenicity protein 14, Serine protease 14, Matriptase, Membrane-type serine protease 1, MT-SP1, Prostamin, Serine protease TADG-15, Tumor-associated differentially-expressed gene 15 protein, ST14, PRSS14
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q9Y5Y6
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within human matriptase.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
