Background:
mannose binding lectin 2(MBL2) Homo sapiens This gene encodes the soluble mannose-binding lectin or mannose-binding protein found in serum. The protein encoded belongs to the collectin family and is an important element in the innate immune system. The protein recognizes mannose and N-acetylglucosamine on many microorganisms, and is capable of activating the classical complement pathway. Deficiencies of this gene have been associated with susceptibility to autoimmune and infectious diseases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],
Alternative Names:
MBL2 COLEC1 MBL
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide from human protein at AA range: 21-70
Isotype: Rabbit
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed band: 27
GeneID: MBL2 COLEC1 MBL
Storage: -20°C/1 year
