Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally verysimilar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, a protein involvedin the initiation of DNA replication. The encoded protein is amember of the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and caninteract with at least two other members of this family. Theencoded protein is upregulated in the transition from the G0 toG1/S phase of the cell cycle and may actively participate in cellcycle regulation.
Other Names:
DNA replication licensing factor MCM5, CDC46 homolog, P1-CDC46, MCM5, CDC46
Gene Name: MCM5
Gene ID: 4174
Primary Accession: P33992
Other Accession: NP_006730.2
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
