Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 7, small-inducible cytokin A7, monocyte chemoattractant protein 3, monocyte chemotactic protein 3, MCP-3, NC28, CCL7, MCP3, SCYA6, SCYA7Description:
Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3 (MCP-3), also called CCL7, is chemokine produced by macrophages and some tumor cell lines. MCP-3 signals through three different G protein-coupled receptors, CCR1, CCR2, and CCR3. CCL7 chemoattracts monocytes and can regulate macrophage function. Rat MCP-3 is produced in E.coli. Recombinant rat MCP-3 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 75 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 8.6 kDa.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.05ng/ug or <0.5EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
The activity can be determined by the ability to chemoattract human monocytes or THP-1 cells at 1-100 ng/mL. There is no biological assay data available at this time. Specific activity: 1 x 10e6 units/mg
Accession No.: P20607
MW: 8600 Da
Sequence:
MQPDGTNSST CCYVKKQKIP KRNLKSYRKI TSSRCPWEAV IFKTKKGMEV CAEAHQKWVE EAIAYLDMKT STPKP
Purity:
Purity > 95% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
