Melan A is a transmembrane protein composed of 118 aa, which is expressed in skin, retina and most melanocytes as well as melanoma and angiomyolipoma. MART-1/melan A Monoclonal Aantibody is helpful for the classification of melanoma and adrenocortical carcinoma, as well as the classification of angiomyolipoma.
