MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A (MICA) is a stress-induced self-antigen that is recognized by gamma delta T-cells. Genetic variations in MICA are a cause of susceptibility to psoriatic arthritis, an inflammatory condition that affects the joints of the extremeties.
