Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 3, small-inducible cytokine A3, macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha, MIP-1-alpha, tonsillar lymphocyte LD78 alpha protein, G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1, G0S19-1 protein, SIS- beta, PAT 464.1, MIP-1-alpha(4-69), LD78-alpha(4-69), CCL3, G0S19-1, MIP1A, SCYA3Description:
Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 alpha (MIP-1-alpha or C-C motif chemokine 3) is a monokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic, and chemokinetic properties. It has a potent chemotactic activity for eosinophils. Binding to a high-affinity receptor activates calcium release in neutrophils. Recombinant Mouse Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 alpha produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 69 amino acids with a MW of 7,820 Da.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Mouse Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Activity is calculated by the ability to chemoattract of Balb3/C splenocytes using 1-10 ng/ml.
Accession No.: P10855
MW: 7820 Da
Sequence:
APYGADTPTA CCFSYSRKIP RQFIVDYFET SSLCSQPGVI FLTKRNRQIC ADSKETWVQE YITDLELNA
Purity:
Purity > 95% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard
Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
