Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha (MIP-1-alpha or C-C motif chemokine 3) is a monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. MIP-1-alpha binds to CCR1, CCR4, and CCR5, and is one of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-alpha induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HOV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV).
Alternate Names: MIP-1-alpha, Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha, C-C motif chemokine 3, Small-inducible cytokine A3, Tonsillar lymphocyte LD78 alpha protein, G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1, G0S19-1 protein, SIS-beta, PAT 464.1, CCL3, G0S19-1, MIP1A, SCYA3
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P10147
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human MIP-1-alpha.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 1 mg/ml BSA, 25% glycerol with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
