Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 20, small- inducible cytokine A20, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, MIP-3-alpha, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, CC chemokine LARC, beta chemokine exodus-1, CCL20(1-67), CCL20-(1-64), CCL20(2-70), CCL20, LARC, MIP3A, SCYA20Description:
Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3-alpha), also known as LARC (Liver and Activation Regulated Chemokine) or CCL20, is a chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and to a lesser degree neutrophils, but not monocytes. Human MIP-3-alpha inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. This cytokine is strongly up-regulated by inflammatory signals, and down-regulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. Human-MIP-3-alpha is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain consisting of 70 amino acids with a MW of 8.0 kDa.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Human MIP-3-alpha is a chemoattractant to human T-cells, working in a concentration range of 7 - 70 ng/ml.
Accession No.: P78556
MW: 8000 Da
Sequence:
ASNFDCCLGY TDRILHPKFI VGFTRQLANE GCDINAIIFH TKKKLSVCAN PKQTWVKYIV RLLSKKVKNM
Purity:
Purity > 97% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 20 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.2 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
