Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 20, small- inducible cytokine A20, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, MIP-3-alpha, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, CC chemokine LARC, beta chemokine exodus-1, CCL20(1-67), CCL20-(1-64), CCL20(2-70), CCL20, LARC, MIP3A, SCYA20Description:
Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3-alpha or C-C motif chemokine 20) is expressed in the liver, lymph nodes, lung and other tissues and signals through the CCR6 receptor. Mouse MIP-3 alpha shows chemotactic activity towards lymphocytes and dendritic cells, but not monocytes. Recombinant Mouse MIP-3 alpha has a MW of 7.9 kDa, comprised of 70 amino acids.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Mouse MIP-3-alpha is fully biologically active when compared to standard. Activity is determined by the proteins ability to chemoattract mouse CCR6 transfected HEK/293 cells using a concentration range of 0.1-10.0 ng/ml.
Accession No.: O89093
MW: 7900 Da
Sequence:
ASNYDCCLSY IQTPLPSRAI VGFTRQMADE ACDINAIIFH TKKRKSVCAD PKQNWVKRAV NLLSLRVKKM
Purity:
Purity > 95% as determined by analytical RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 20 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.2 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
