Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 19, small-inducible cytokine A19, macrophage inflammatory protein 3 beta, Mip-3-beta, EBI1- ligand chemokine, ELC, Beta chemokine exodus-3, CK beta-11, CCL19, ELC, MIP3B, SCYA19Description:
Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 beta (MIP-3-beta or C-C motif chemokine 19) is a cytokine that plays a role in inflammatory and immunological responses as well as normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. MIP-3-beta also is important in T-cell trafficking in the thymus, and T-cell and B-cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. MIP-3-beta specifically binds to the chemokine receptor CCR7. Recombinant MIP-3-beta shows potent chemotactic activity for T-cells and B-cells but not for granulocytes and monocytes. Human MIP-3b produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 77 amino acids with a MW of 8,809 Da.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Macrophage inflammatory protein 3beta is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Activity is calculated by the ability to chemoattract Human T cells using a concentration of 7 - 40 ng/ml.
Accession No.: Q99731
MW: 8809 Da
Sequence:
GTNDAEDCCL SVTQKPIPGY IVRNFHYLLI KDGCRVPAVV FTTLRGRQLC APPDQPWVER IIQRLQRTSA KMKRRSS
Purity:
Purity > 98% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 20 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.2 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
