Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 18, small-inducible cytokine A18, macrophage inflammatory protein 4, MIP-4, pulmonary and activation regulated chemokine, Chemokine PARC, alternative macrophage activation associated CC chemokine 1, DC-CK1, CCL18(1-68), CCL18(3-69), CCL18 (4-69), CCL18, AMAC1, DCCK1, MIP4, PARC, SCYA18Description:
Macrophage inflammatory protein 4 (MIP-4 or C-C motif chemokine 18) is a cytokine that attracts lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes. This cytokine is involved in B-cell migration into B-cell follicles in lymph nodes and attracts naïve T-lymphocytes toward dendritic cells. MIP-4 activates mactrophages in lymph nodes, has chemotactic activity for naïve T-cells, CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, and therefore plays roles in both humoral and cell-mediated immunity responses. Recombinant Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-4 produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 69 amino acids with a MW of 7,813 Da.

Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Human Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-4 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Activity is calculated by the ability to chemoattract Human T lymphocytes at 1.0-8.0 ng/ml.
Accession No.: P55774
MW: 7813 Da
Sequence:
