Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System
Description:
MIP2-alpha (GRO-beta) is produced by activated monocytes and neutrophils and expressed at sites of inflammation. MIP2-alpha is a hematoregulatory chemokine which, in vitro, suppresses hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. GRO-beta(5-73), a cleavage product of MIP2-alpha, shows a highly enhanced hematopoietic activity. GRO-beta(5-73) is available under the name Garnocestim as an immunomodulator. It is used prior to hematopoietic transplantation for peripheral blood stem cell mobilization and reduction of incidence, duration, and/or severity of chemotherapy induced cytopenias.
Alternate Names: Gro-beta, MIP2-alpha, C-X-C motif chemokine 2, Macrophage inflammatory protein 2-alpha, Growth-regulated protein beta, GRO-beta(5-73), GRO-beta-T, SB-251353, Hematopoietic synergistic factor, HSF, CXCL3: GRO2, GROB, MIP2A, SCYB2
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P19875
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human MIP2-alpha.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
