Background:
Epitope tags are short peptide sequences which are chosen because high-affinity antibodies can be reliably produced in many different species. These are usually derived from viral genes, which explain their high immunoreactivity. Epitope tags include V5-tag, c-myc-tag, and HA-tag. These tags are particularly useful for western blotting, immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation experiments, although they also find use in antibody purification. The V5 epitope tag (GKPIPNPLLGLDST) is derived from a small epitope which presents on the P and V proteins of the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5).
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptideGKPIPNPLLGLDST conjugated to KLH.Western Blot (1:1000-10000); Immunoprecipitation, IP (1:100-500); Immunofluorescence, IF (1:200-1000);
Product Form: Liquid
Storage Buffer: In PBS (pH7.4), 50% Glycerol and 0.02% Sodium Azide.
Storage Instruction:
Store at 2-8℃ for 1 month. Or aliquot and store at -20℃ or below for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
