Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Transcription

Description:
Arginine methylation is a very common post-translational modification that occurs predominantly in the nucleus. The main pool of proteins that are methylated displays RNA binding properties. Arginine methylation has been implicated in a variety of cellular processes, including protein trafficking, signal transduction and transcriptional regulation. The antibody can be used for detection, quantitation, and isolation of proteins with N-gamma methylated arginine residues.

Alternate Names: Monomethylated Arginine, monomethylarginine, MMA, omega-NG-dimethylarginine, NG-mono-methyl arginine

Application Notes: Cat. No. 251129 recognizes proteins methylated on arginine residues (monomethylated arginine). There is no reaction with acetylated and methylated lysines. E: 1:500-1:2,000; WB: 1:200-1:1000; IHC: 1:100-1:500; IP: 5 ug sample; IF: 5 ug/ml

Antigen: N-gamma monomethyl arginine KLH conjugates

Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.4 ml (0.25 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol. Antibody was purified by immunogen-affinity chromatography on a monomethylarginine agarose column and then adsorbed on dimethylarginine agarose beads.

Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
