Introduction:
Serine/threonine-protein kinase receptor R3 is an enzyme that in human s is encoded by the ACVRL1 gene.ACVRL1 is a receptor in the TGF beta signaling pathway. It is also known as activin receptor-like kinase 1, or ALK1.This gene encodes a type I cell-surface receptor for the TGF-beta superfamily of ligands. It shares with other type I receptors a high degree of similarity in serine-threonine kinase subdomains, a glycine- and serine-rich region (called the GS domain) preceding the kinase domain, and a short C-terminal tail. The encoded protein, sometimes termed ALK1, shares similar domain structures with other closely related ALK or activin receptor-like kinase proteins that form a subfamily of receptor serine/threonine kinases.
Principle of the Assay:
This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-ACVRL1 / ALK-1 polyclonal antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-ACVRL1 / ALK-1 polyclonal antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the ACVRL1 / ALK-1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of ACVRL1 / ALK-1 can be calculated.
Application:
For quantitative detection of ACVRL1 / ALK-1 in mouse serum, plasma, body fluids, tissue lysates or cell culture supernatants.
Storage and Expiration:
Store at 2-8℃ for 6 months, or at -20℃ for 12 months.
