Background:
Catalyzes the interconversion of methylthioribose-1- phosphate (MTR-1-P) into methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1- P). Independently from catalytic activity, promotes cell invasion in response to constitutive RhoA activation by promoting FAK tyrosine phosphorylation and stress fiber turnover.

Other Names:
Methylthioribose-1-phosphate isomerase {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, M1Pi {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, MTR-1-P isomerase {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, 5.3.1.23 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, Mediator of RhoA-dependent invasion, S-methyl-5-thioribose-1-phosphate isomerase {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, Translation initiation factor eIF-2B subunit alpha/beta/delta-like protein {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, MRI1 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}, MRDI

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 128-141 of HUMAN MRI1

Gene Name: MRI1 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03119}

Gene ID: 84245
Primary Accession: Q9BV20
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
