Alternate Names: Myotubularin; MTM1; CG2

Accession No.: Q13496, NP_000243

Description:
Myotubularin (MTM1) is a dual-specificity phosphatase that acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine. MTM1 is involved in the signal transduction pathway necessary for late myogenesis. Defects in MTM1 are the cause of X-linked centronuclear myopathy.

Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.

MW: 2083.2 g/mol

Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200175 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human MTM1. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.

Composition:
C85H139N27O32S1

Purity:
> 80% by HPLC

Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.

Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
