Background:
MTTP encodes the large subunit of the heterodimeric microsomal triglyceride transfer protein. Protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) completes the heterodimeric microsomal triglyceride transfer protein, which has been shown to play a entral role in lipoprotein assembly. Mutations in MTP can cause abetalipoproteinemia.
Other Names:
Microsomal triglyceride transfer protein large subunit, MTTP, MTP
Target/Specificity:
This MTTP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 816-842 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human MTTP.
Antigen Region:
816-842
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: MTTP
Gene ID: 4547
Primary Accession: P55157
NCBI Accession: NP_000244.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
