Background:
This gene encodes a member of the Myc superfamily of basichelix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcriptional regulators. Theencoded protein forms a heterodimer with the cofactor MAX whichbinds specific E-box DNA motifs in the promoters of target genesand regulates their transcription. Disruption of the MAX-MXD3complex is associated with uncontrolled cell proliferation andtumorigenesis. Transcript variants of this gene encoding differentisoforms have been described.
Other Names:
Max dimerization protein 3, Max dimerizer 3, Class C basic helix-loop-helix protein 13, bHLHc13, Max-associated protein 3, Max-interacting transcriptional repressor MAD3, Myx, MXD3, BHLHC13, MAD3
Gene Name: MXD3
Gene ID: 83463
Primary Accession: Q9BW11
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
