Background:
Phosphorylation of cardiac myosin heavy chains (see MYH7B,MIM 609928) and light chains (see MYL2, MIM 160781) by a kinase, such as MYLK3, potentiates the force and rate of cross-bridgerecruitment in cardiac myocytes (Chan et al., 2008 [PubMed18202317]).
Other Names:
Myosin light chain kinase 3, Cardiac-MyBP-C-associated Ca/CaM kinase, Cardiac-MLCK, MYLK3, MLCK
Target/Specificity:
This MYLK3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 535-562 amino acids from the Central region of human MYLK3.
Antigen Region:
535-562
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: MYLK3
Gene ID: 91807
Primary Accession: Q32MK0
NCBI Accession: NP_872299.2
Other Accession: NP_872299.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
