Background:
This gene encodes soluble NSF attachment protein gamma. The soluble NSF attachment proteins (SNAPs) enableN-ethyl-maleimide-sensitive fusion protein (NSF) to bind to targetmembranes. NSF and SNAPs appear to be general components of theintracellular membrane fusion apparatus, and their action atspecific sites of fusion must be controlled by SNAP receptorsparticular to the membranes being fused. The product of this genemediates platelet exocytosis and controls the membrane fusionevents of this process.
Other Names:
Gamma-soluble NSF attachment protein, SNAP-gamma, N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein gamma, NAPG, SNAPG
Gene Name: NAPG (HGNC:7642)
Gene ID: 8774
Primary Accession: Q99747
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
