Background:
This gene encodes a subunit of the NADH:ubiquinoneoxidoreductase (complex I), which is the first enzyme complex inthe electron transport chain of mitochondria. This complexfunctions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratorychain. The subunit encoded by this gene is one of seven subunits inthe iron-sulfur protein fraction. Mutations in this gene causemitochondrial complex I deficiency, a disease that causes a widevariety of clinical disorders, including neonatal disease andadult-onset neurodegenerative disorders.
Other Names:
NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 6, mitochondrial, Complex I-13kD-A, CI-13kD-A, NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase 13 kDa-A subunit, NDUFS6
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 43-56 of HUMAN NDUFS6
Gene Name: NDUFS6
Gene ID: 4726
Primary Accession: O75380
Other Accession: Q4R5X8; NP_004544.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
