Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Nervous and Sensory Systems, Signal Transduction
Description:
Neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) is a neurotrophic factor in the NGF family of neurotrophins. NT-3 has activity on certain neurons of the peripheral and central nervous systems, supporting survival and differentiation of existing and new neurons. Neurotrophins function primarily to regulate naturally occurring cell death of neurons during development. Two additional structurally homologous neurotrophic factors have been identified: brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and neurotrophic 4 (NT-4), also designated NT-5.
Alternate Names: Neurotrophin-3, NT-3, Neurotrophic factor, HDNF, Nerve growth factor 2, NGF-2, NTF3
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1: 200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P20783
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human NT-3.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
