Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Nervous and Sensory Systems, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
Neurofilament triplet L protein (NF-L) is one of the three intermediate filament proteins (L, M and H) making up neurofilaments. NF-L is involved in the maintenance of neuronal caliber. NF-L is the most abundant of the three neurofilament proteins and can form homopolymeric 10-nm filaments. Defects in NF-L are the cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1F and 2E, inherited disorders of the peripheral nervous system.
Alternate Names: Neurofilament light polypeptide, NF-L, Neurofilament triplet L protein, 68 kDa neurofilament protein, NEFL, NF68, NFL
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P07196
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human NF-L.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
