Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thetripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes threezinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2,and a coiled-coil region. The protein forms homo-oligomers via thecoilel-coil region and localizes to cytoplasmic bodies. It appearsto function as a E3 ubiquitin-ligase and ubiqutinates itself toregulate its subcellular localization. It may play a role inretroviral restriction. Multiple alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been described for thisgene.
Other Names:
NK1 transcription factor-related protein 2, Homeobox protein SAX-1, NKX-11, NKX1-2, C10orf121, NKX11
Gene Name: NKX1-2
Gene ID: 390010
Primary Accession: Q9UD57
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
