Background:
N-methylation is one method by which drug and other xenobiotic compounds are metabolized by the liver. NNMT is the protein responsible for this enzymatic activity, which uses S-adenosyl methionine as the methyl donor.

Other Names:
Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase, NNMT

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP1024a was selected from the N-term region of human NNMT. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: NNMT {ECO:0000303|PubMed:23455543}

Gene ID: 4837
Primary Accession: P40261
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
