Protein Family: Transporters
Pathway and Disease: Folding, Sorting and Degradation
Description:
The organic anion transporter 3 (OAT-3 or SLC22A8) is localized to the basolateral membrane of renal tubular epithelial cells and plays a critical role in the excretion and detoxification of anionic compounds. Recent works have identified three organic anion transporter families: the organic anion transporter (OAT) family encoded by SLC22A, the organic anion transporting peptide (OATP) family encoded by SLC21A, and the multidrug resistance-associatred protein (MRP) family encoded by ABCC. These family members are involved in the transepithelial transport of organic anions in many tissues such as kidney, liver and brain.
Alternate Names: Solute carrier family 22 member 8, Organic anion transporter 3, OAT3, SLC22A8, Reduced in osteosclerosis transporter, Roct
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: O88909
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
