AC-BP13101c
Background:
The origin recognition complex (ORC) is a highly conservedsix subunit protein complex essential for the initiation of the DNAreplication in eukaryotic cells. Studies in yeast demonstrated thatORC binds specifically to origins of replication and serves as aplatform for the assembly of additional initiation factors such asCdc6 and Mcm proteins. The protein encoded by this gene is asubunit of the ORC complex. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. [providedby RefSeq].
Other Names:
Origin recognition complex subunit 5, ORC5, ORC5L
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13101c was selected from the Center region of ORC5L. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: ORC5
Gene ID: 5001
Primary Accession: O43913
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
