Background:
This gene encodes a protein highly similar to Drosophila and mouse proteins. In Drosophila the ovo protein plays a critical role in Drosophila oogenesis and cuticle formation. In mice the ovo like protein is involved in hair formation and spermatogenesis. The function of the human gene product has not been determined.
Other Names:
Putative transcription factor Ovo-like 1, hOvo1, OVOL1
Target/Specificity:
This OVOL1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-29 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human OVOL1.
Antigen Region:
1-29
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: OVOL1
Gene ID: 5017
Primary Accession: O14753
NCBI Accession: NP_004552.2
Other Accession: Q9WTJ2; A2VDT4; NP_004552.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
