Background:
Both p44 and p42 MAP kinases (Erk1 and Erk2) function in a protein kinase cascade that plays a critical role in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Activation of MAP kinases occurs thro µgh phosphorylation of threonine and tyrosine at the sequence T*EY* by a single upstream MAP kinase kinase (MEK).
Other Names:
p44-MAPK , p44erk1 , MGC20180 , MAPK3 , P44MAPK , HS44KDAP , ERK-1 , PRKM3 , HUMKER1A , ERT2
Primary Accession: P27361
Gene Name: MAPK3
Gene ID: 5595
Concentration (mg/ml): 0.5 mg/ml
