Protein Family: Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death, Endocrine System, Transcription
Alternate Names: Parafibromin; Cell division cycle protein 73 homolog; Hyperparathyroidism 2 protein; CDC73; C1orf28; HRPT2
Accession No.: Q6P1J9, NP_078805
Description:
Parafibromin (CDC73) is a tumor suppressor involved in transcriptional and post-transcriptional control pathways, such as cell cycle progression through the regulation of cyclin D1/PRAD1 expression. Defects in CDC73 are the cause of parathyroid gland tumors.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 2016.3 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200155 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human parafibromin. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C86H142N28O24S2
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
