Background:
parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase(PARK2) Homo sapiens The precise function of this gene is unknown; however, the encoded protein is a component of a multiprotein E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates the targeting of substrate proteins for proteasomal degradation. Mutations in this gene are known to cause Parkinson disease and autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinson disease. Alternative splicing of this gene produces multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants of this gene have been described but currently lack transcript support. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],
Alternative Names:
PARK2, PRKN, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase parkin, Parkinson juvenile disease protein 2, Parkinson disease protein 2
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Parkin around the phosphorylation site of Ser131. AA range:101-150
Isotype: Rabbit
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed band: 51
GeneID: PARK2
Storage: -20°C/1 year
