Protein Family: Transcription Factors, Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Transcription
Description:
PARP1 (Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1)is a glycosyltransferase, involved in the base excision repair (BER) pathway. PARP1 is catalyzing the poly ADP-ribosylation of a limited number of acceptor proteins involved in chromatin architecture and in DNA metabolism. This modification follows DNA damages and appears as an obligatory step in a detection/signaling pathway leading to the reparation of DNA strand breaks.
Alternate Names: PARP1, Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1, PARP-1, ADPRT, NAD(+) ADP-ribosyltransferase 1, Poly[ADP-ribose] synthetase 1, ADPRT, PPOL
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P09874
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human PARP1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 5 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
