Background:
PAX7 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family oftranscription factors. Members of this gene family typicallycontain a paired box domain, an octapeptide, and a paired-typehomeodomain. These genes play critical roles during fetaldevelopment and cancer growth. The specific function of the pairedbox 7 gene is unknown but speculated to involve tumor suppressionsince fusion of this gene with a forkhead domain family member hasbeen associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Three transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Other Names:
Paired box protein Pax-7, HuP1, PAX7, HUP1
Gene Name: PAX7
Gene ID: 5081
Primary Accession: P23759
Other Accession: NP_001128726.1;NP_039236.1;NP_002575.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
